Announcement for meeting new Superintendent Shannon Pitcher-Boyea on Tuesday, Aug. 18 at Whitney Point H.S. Gymnasium.A new school year brings new beginnings, and we'd love for you to be part of ours with the Care, Connection & Community event on Tuesday, August 18, at the Whitney Point High School!
 
Golden Eagle students, families, staff and community members are invited to this event welcoming our new Superintendent of Schools, Shannon Pitcher-Boyea.
 
Join us on Tuesday, Aug. 18, at the Whitney Point High School Gym for an evening focused on community, wellness and connection.
 
Event Schedule

  • 4 - 6 p.m. - High School students can pick up their pre-ordered 2025-26 high school yearbooks in the main lobby.
  • 4 - 7 p.m. - Food will be available for purchase from Smokey Legend BBQ food truck.
  • 5-5:30 p.m. - Meet & Greet with Superintendent Shannon Pitcher-Boyea
  • 5:30-6:30 p.m. - FREE Community Yoga Class in the high school gym 
The yoga class will be led by Whitney Point High School teacher Jennifer Dean and is open to everyone, whether you're an experienced yogi or trying yoga for the very first time. This inclusive class is designed for all ages and abilities. Chair variations, modifications and resting options will be available so everyone can participate comfortably.
 
What to Bring
  • A yoga mat or towel (mats will also be available)
  • Comfortable clothing
  • Your Golden Eagle spirit!
Admission is free, and everyone in the Whitney Point community is welcome.
 
As we prepare for another exciting school year, we hope you'll join us for an evening of relaxation, conversation and community as we give Mrs. Pitcher-Boyea a warm Golden Eagle welcome!
